The Barking & Dagenham Small Business Centre (BDSBC) announces the appointment
of two new key executives to its professional business support team.
Mark Kass (45), has been appointed as Enterprise
Development Manager at the hugely successful BDSBC office in
Longbridge Road, Barking, which opened in January this year. Mark has first
hand knowledge of starting-up new businesses and is an active champion of
entrepreneurship and small business support. He has worked across a number
of high profile regeneration programmes involving the private, public and
voluntary sectors and is really excited about the enterprise programme in
Barking & Dagenham.
Commenting on his new role, Mark says: “At the Barking & Dagenham Small
Business Centre we’re passionate about enterprise and we’re totally
committed to supporting entrepreneurs in ensuring they create solid, viable
businesses”.
Working closely with partners across the Borough, Kass is determined that his
team at BDSBC strive to deliver their mission of being the best provider of
business support to all entrepreneurs by creating sustainable businesses.
”Regeneration is not just about new buildings”, says Mark. “It’s
also about social and economic growth and our business start-up and
micro-business support programme offers both local residents and inward
investors a fantastic opportunity to consider Barking & Dagenham as the
place to start up & grow their businesses”.
The Centre has also appointed Simon Oliver, 28, as its Loan
Funds Manager. Simon was previously employed by Natwest Bank and is
responsible for an innovative loan fund, which enables budding entrepreneurs
to obtain loan funding on a progressive basis rather than as a large single
sum. The new fund offers loans up to a maximum of £10,000 as
businesses grow and develop.
The Centre is keen to talk to anyone considering self employment or looking
for business advice, training, finance and all of its services are free.
